Simple to operate and capable of ranging up to 1500 yards, the Ranger 1500 6×22 Rangefinder from Vortex gives gun hunters, bow hunters and target shooters the distance data they need for accurate shots. The Ranger’s Horizontal Component Distance technology provides an angle-compensated reading for uphill or downhill shots.
You can use the Ranger to lock on a stationary target, or switch to Scan mode to range a moving target or get continual readings while panning across the landscape. The 6x magnification is suitable for identifying targets at intermediate to long-range distances, and the focus can be fine-tuned with the diopter adjustment. Fully multi-coated optics optimize light transmission for a bright, sharp image, and the rangefinder’s vertical orientation makes it easy to operate with one hand. This unit is made for use out in the elements, with a watertight O-ring-sealed, rubber-armored housing. A handy belt clip can be mounted on either side or removed altogether, and the unit can be mounted on a tripod. The Ranger runs on one included CR2 battery.
